NABLUS (PIC)– The Israeli Salem military court has sentenced the 13-year-old Palestinian child Ahmed Amarne to one and a half year behind bars for throwing stones at IOF soldiers a charge which he denied.
Father of the child from Zabuba village west of Jenin said that the court judge did not heed the child’s denial and sentenced him to jail or to pay a fine of around 700 dollars.
He said that he was shocked at seeing his son being dragged into court with both his hands and feet shackled while wearing prison clothes.
The father quoted the Israeli military prosecutor as charging the child with “disturbing security” and throwing stones asking the court to punish him without paying attention to his young age because any lesser sentence would “encourage him to pursue the path of terrorism when he grows us”.
