The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) served a notice on Wednesday a Palestinian citizen to evacuate his land southeast of Bethlehem.
Hassan Brijieh the director of the Office of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority stated in press statements that the IOA had notified Youssef Rayan to evacuate his agricultural land in the Khalayel almond area claiming that it is state land. Rayan’s land is estimated at tens of dunums and planted with olive trees.
Brijieh added that this escalation of the occupation comes in the context of the restrictions on Palestinian citizens. Khalil al-Luz Khallet al-Qatun and Khallet al-Nahla areas are mostly targeted by the IOA and are adjacent to the settlements of Efrat and Tekoa he added.
