The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Wednesday embarked on bulldozing a vast tract of Palestinian land it had annexed recently from towns in the north of al-Khalil in order to build a road for Jewish settlers.
The new settler road extends from the Etzion settlement junction in northern al-Khalil to Beit al-Baraka building near al-Arroub refugee camp and then to the Nabi Younis junction at the eastern entrance to Halhul city and it also goes through the nature reserve which is located between Beit Ummar town and al-Arroub camp
The total area of the annexed land amounts to about 400 dunums belonging to Palestinian citizens from the towns of Halhul and Beit Ummar.
