The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) threatened the demolition of two schools in Bethlehem on Sunday at the pretext of being built without “legal basis”.
Eyewitnesses in Jab al-Dheeb area in eastern Bethlehem where the two schools are located said they saw members of an IOA organization gluing demolition notices on walls of the two schools.
Settlement activist Hassan Breijeh said that the first school called Al-Tahadi-5 (The Challenge) was knocked down five times before and the inhabitants rebuilt it after each demolition.
He added that the other school called Kisan was earlier served a stop-construction notice and its students are daily harassed by Jewish settlers.
