The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Thursday delivered a demolition notice against a four-story apartment building in Shuafat town northeast of Jerusalem.
The families living in the building were given two weeks to evacuate their apartments and leave the area.
One of the residents said that the Israeli intelligence service notified the residents that their apartment building in the western area of the town which was built in 2003 would be demolished in 14 days and ordered them to evacuate it before the expiry of the specified period.
55 individuals live in the building which belongs to several Jerusalemite families. It is located about 200 meters away from the illegal settlement of Ramat Shlomo.
The IOA has been trying to demolish the building since 2005 and forced the residents to leave it for several years before they managed to return to their apartments in 2015.
