The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Friday notified Palestinian citizens in the east Jerusalem district of Silwan of its intent to demolish al-Qa’qa Mosque.
Member of the Silwan land defense committee Khaled Abu Tayeh said that the Israeli police handed citizens from Silwan a notice informing them of its intent to raze the two-story Mosque in the coming days.
The Mosque is located in Ein al-Loza neighborhood in Silwan and used by over 7000 residents.
