Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Tuesday ordered the demolition of several Palestinian structures in Ras al-Auja area in the Jordan Valley.
Palestinian human rights workers said the IOA handed Palestinian citizen Jamal Rashayda orders to demolish his family’s tents and barns in Ras al-Auja for no apparent reason.
They said that the IOA has recently stepped up arbitrary eviction and demolition campaigns in Ras al-Auja as part of ongoing attempts to empty the area of Palestinians.
The IOA further closed several roads in neighboring areas with barbed wire they added.
There are about 40 Israeli settlements and military camps in the Jordan Valley where Jewish settlers live and prosper at the expense of the Palestinians.
