The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) in Jerusalem notified on Wednesday the family of Abu Mayala of its intent to demolish two apartments belonging to it in Silwan district south of the Aqsa Mosque at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
The apartments are located in Ras al-Amud neighborhood in Silwan and belong to two brothers from the family.
The IOA forces the Jerusalemite citizens to destroy or remove their own homes in order to avoid paying hefty expenses and fines if its municipal crews come to carry out the demolitions.
