IOA uses chemicals to destroy vast Arab lands in Negev

Thursday 22-February-2007

NAZARETH (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority on Thursday destroyed 3500 dunums of Arab cultivated lands in the Negev desert south of the Palestinian lands occupied in 1948 at the pretext it was “state owned”.

Sources in the area said that the IOA sprayed the lands cultivated with wheat and barley burning the whole lot of them.

The lands are owned by Bedouin Arab families that inhabited the area long time before creation of the Hebrew state according to those sources that charged the IOA with trying to force the Negev Arabs to abandon their lands in order to control them.

Meanwhile in Nablus IOF troops stormed the Balata refugee camp and arrested a 19-year-old youth in an incursion into Nablus city and its refugee camps on Thursday that included breaking into many homes in the Old City.

In the Gaza Strip the Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement declared responsibility for blasting an explosive device in an IOF army patrol on Thursday.

The armed wing said that an army jeep was directly hit in the explosion and set ablaze in central Gaza and added that the attack was in retaliation to the IOF crimes in lines of the Palestinian people.
