Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensified their assaults against Palestinian citizens in several areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem on Sunday.
IOF soldiers fired tear gas bombs and stun grenades at Palestinian citizens in the vicinity of a school in Taquu town east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem which triggered clashes.
Meanwhile IOF soldiers fired tear gas bombs and stun grenades at Palestinian protestors to quell the anti-settlement march in the town of Brouqin west of the West Bank city of Salfit according to the town’s mayor Faed Sabra.
In addition the IOF forced the Palestinian citizen Tariq Jabir to shut down his shop in the center of the West Bank city of al-Khalil.
In a related development Israeli occupation police arrested the two Palestinian young men Mohammed Abu Subeih and Rashid al-Sabbah after attacking them on Al-Wad Street in the Old City of Jerusalem according to local sources
Moreover the Palestinian young man Diya’ Abu Jumhur from the West Bank city of Jenin was arrested while he was on his way to the West Bank city of Jericho.
Furthermore Israeli police assaulted the Palestinian young man Islam al-Sharbati in the Bab al-Asbat area near the Old City of Jerusalem.
In another incident Jewish settlers protected by IOF soldiers hurled stones at the house of the Palestinian activist Arif Jabir in the center of al-Khalil according to the SAFA news agency.
“The escalating Jewish settlers’ attacks give the green light for more violations against the Palestinian families” activist Jabir underlined adding that such violations harbinger grave danger.
Earlier on Saturday evening thousands of Jewish settlers rampaged in the Bab al-Zawiya area and the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the center of the Old City of al-Khalil under IOF protection.
