The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday morning closed the southern entrances to al-Khalil city.
Eyewitnesses said that the IOF soldiers were deployed in large numbers near the entrance to Abda village and blocked the junction connecting it with the towns of al-Dhahiriya and Dura and al-Fawwar refugee camp causing a traffic jam.
In addition to the abrupt closures the soldiers launched a robot in the area under the pretext of searching for a suspicious device the witnesses added.
The Israeli forces continue for the third day in a row to close al-Fawwar refugee camp’s entrance forcing its residents to take alternative rocky roads to reach al-Khalil city and other areas.
The IOF also waged a pre-dawn raid into Yatta city near al-Khalil broke into Palestinian houses and searched them.
