RAFAH (PIC)– An Israeli F-16 warplane on Wednesday fired three missiles at a position for the PA interior ministry’s executive force killing four of its members and wounding 20 others medical sources reported.
The air raid followed Israeli war minister Amir Peretz’s announcement earlier Wednesday that he was fully prepared to back Fatah militias in their battle against Hamas fighters.
The executive force formed out of a number of Palestinian factions to aid the interior ministry in disciplining the Gaza streets was the target of a campaign waged by Fatah-financed media platforms that called members of the executive force as “criminals”.
The force has so far remained aloof from the ongoing Fatah-Hamas fighting in Gaza Islam Shahwan the force’s spokesman affirmed adding that the force is not party to the “unfortunate incidents”.
He asked the media institutions to be accurate in carrying news and not to broadcast lies that would only heighten tensions and fuel infighting.
