IOF arrests 400 Palestinians in September

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested during September 400 Palestinians including 55 children and eight women Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies revealed.

Spokesman for the center Riyad al-Ashqar said that seven Palestinians from Gaza Strip were among the reported arrests including two fishermen and two academics.

The Palestinian MP Abdulrahman Zeidan was also detained during September after IOF soldiers violently stormed his house in Tulkarem.

55 Palestinian children were also rounded up over the past month including a 10-year-old boy from occupied Jerusalem while eight women were arrested including a mother and her infant during her visit to her imprisoned husband.

During the same reported period 100 administrative detention orders were issued against Palestinian prisoners including academics while a life term imprisonment was imposed on the prisoner Amjed al-Najjar for being allegedly involved in an anti-occupation attack.

Over the past month Israeli jailers intensified their sanctions and punitive measures against Palestinian prisoners.
