Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at dawn on Thursday carried out an arrest and search campaign in different locations in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem. A number of Palestinian youths were arrested.
In al-Khalil the IOF soldiers stormed Palestinian homes summoned some people to be questioned by the intelligence apparatus and erected military checkpoints. A 16-year-old minor along with a young man were arrested in al-Khalil. Two others were summoned.
Israeli army claimed that the IOF troops have managed in cooperation with the Shin Bet to break into a workshop in al-Khalil city and confiscate equipment allegedly used for manufacturing local guns. They closed the shop and confiscated some weapons the army said.
In Nablus two young men were rounded up after the IOF troops stormed their homes at dawn. Earlier at night violent clashes broke out between the IOF soldiers and Palestinian youths in Qusra town near Nablus after Israeli soldiers had broken into the town.
Israeli troops also stormed Housan town in Bethlehem and broke into Palestinians’ homes. A 21-year-old young man was arrested.
Israeli forces as well broke into towns of Occupied Jerusalem and arrested a juvenile for stone throwing. Two other young men were shot and rounded up after being set up by Israeli undercover forces in Mount Scopus southeast Jerusalem.
