IOF arrests 9 Palestinians in the West Bank 5 in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and large-scale raids against Palestinians in the West Bank On Sunday morning while arresting five Palestinians east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to local sources the Israeli army arrested nine Palestinians during a campaign of raids in different parts of the West Bank.

Israeli soldiers took the detainees for questioning in an unknown area.

In the meantime the Israeli occupation forces held two vehicles last night and searched them and arrested a Palestinian at the entrance to Silat al-Harithiya west of the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that Israeli soldiers erected a flying checkpoint near the Itisalat entrance at the Jenin-Haifa Street near Silat al-Harithiya village and intercepted citizens’ vehicles.

The Israeli soldiers arrested a young man and blindfolded him and detained him for a while in the area.

The IOF arrested at dawn a Palestinian during raids in the town of Sniria south of the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.

Local sources told the PIC that the soldiers arrested the young man Othman Ahmed Ibrahim Omar 35 years old from the town of Sniria after raiding his house and searching it.

On Sunday morning IOF soldiers erected a military checkpoint on the eastern entrance of Qalqilya and detained vehicles and citizens.

The IOF carries out daily arrests in various governorates of the occupied West Bank.

In the same context the Israeli occupation army announced that its forces arrested five young Palestinians east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Maariv newspaper noted that the army claimed that the young men were on their way to infiltrate through the fence to the east of the Gaza Strip.

The newspaper reported that the soldiers took the five young men for investigation by the intelligence services.
