Tuesday 7-June-2016

TULKAREM (PIC)– The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Tuesday morning four Palestinians while on their way to their workplaces in Tulkarem while four others were detained west of al-Khalil and one in Bethlehem.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that Israeli forces stationed at the Iron Gate near the northern entrance to Tulkarem stopped and arrested four youths while on their way to their work located near the Apartheid Wall.

In 2003 the IOF erected an Iron Gate at the northern entrance to the city shortly after the establishment of the Apartheid Wall.

Meanwhile IOF soldiers arrested four other Palestinians after breaking into Surif town west al-Khalil.

According to the PIC reporter the four detainees were arrested from their homes in the town.

A large-scale arrest and raid campaign was carried out two days earlier in Surif town where several local youths were detained.

On the other hand Israeli forces notified this morning the demolition of two Palestinian homes and agricultural facilities in Duma town south of Nablus for being allegedly built without permit.

Deputy Head of the village council Adib Dawabsheh told a PIC reporter that Israeli forces stormed the town and threatened the demolition of two homes.

Along the same line Israeli forces threatened to demolish two mobile homes east of Bethlehem under the pretext of being located near a closed military zone.

A Palestinian youngster was also arrested from his house in Beit Fujar town south of the city which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

During the clashes Israeli forces heavily fired tear gas bombs at local homes causing dozens of tear gas suffocation cases among the residents.
