The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested late Monday a Palestinian young man near the border fence east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources affirmed that the young man was arrested near the border fence in southern Gaza.

Earlier Monday the Israeli occupation army claimed its forces arrested on Monday two Palestinian young men after they attempted to cross the border fence.

In recent months the IOF had arrested many Palestinian citizens mostly young men during alleged attempts to infiltrate through the border fence.

Since the start of the year Israeli forces carried out 18 limited incursions into the Gaza Strip and arrested 62 civilians including 41 fishermen.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) claimed it arrested a Palestinian young man on Wednesday evening as he was trying to cross through the border fence in the east of Gaza.

In a statement the Israeli army also said the young man was found in possession of a knife.

The IOF had already arrested many Palestinian citizens during similar attempts to infiltrate through the border fence.

In some incidents the IOF opened fire at such citizens leading them to suffer injuries or get killed.
