IOF arrests Palestinians in Jenin and Jerusalem

Sunday 8-November-2020

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested on Saturday night and at dawn Sunday several Palestinians in Jenin in the West Bank and Jerusalem and stormed two prisoners’ homes.

In Ya`bad town in Jenin the IOF soldiers broke into the house of Nathmi Abu Bakr who was accused of throwing a stone on the head of an Israeli soldier from the roof of his house and inspected the room which they had closed on the 21st of October.

On 21/10/2020 the IOF closed a room in the prisoner Abu Bakr’s house which is about half the area of his house with polyethylene and red wax.

IOF broke into Abu Bakr’s house several times after closing the room under the pretext of inspecting it. However Abu Bakr’s family expressed fear that the repeated raids into their home were only meant to harass them.

IOF raided Jalameh town to the south of Jenin and arrested three Palestinian citizens while they were near the Apartheid Wall which is built on the lands of their town.

Meanwhile the IOF soldiers abused Karam Iyad Samar from Al-Yamoun town in Jenin and severely beat him while he was near the wall built on the lands of Rummana village west of Jenin. Samar was taken to the government hospital in Jenin for treatment.

In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police arrested four Jerusalemites after storming and searching the homes of their families in Al-Tur town.

Local sources indicated that the Israeli police arrested on Saturday evening Hamza Al-Tamimi 22 years who is from Al-Salam suburb in Anata town northeast of Jerusalem after he was summoned for an interview.

The IOF soldiers also broke into Kober town northwest of Ramallah before they raided the house of the prisoner Muhammad Dakhil Al-Barghouti and searched it.
