The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday evening arrested director of the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing Naser al-Kilani as he was trying to travel to the West Bank through the crossing.
Senior border official Maher Abul-Awf told Quds Press that the Israeli authorities arrested Kilani after he arrived at the Israeli side of the crossing in order to travel to the West Bank.
Last July the IOF had arrested Sa’ed al-Ghoul director of the external offices at the civil affairs ministry in Gaza.
Since the beginning of the current year the IOF arbitrarily arrested 10 Palestinian passengers at the Beit Hanoun crossing.
