The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested a Palestinian ex-prisoner from Jaba town south of Jenin on Thursday evening.
Ahmed Khalilieh was detained at an IOF checkpoint at the entrance to the town while on his way back home local sources reported.
More than 700 fully and occasionally-staffed Israeli checkpoints are erected throughout the occupied West Bank restricting the Palestinians’ movement.
Under international law Israel has an obligation to facilitate the free movement of Palestinians across the occupied Palestinian territory including Jerusalem.
