Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided on Saturday the cities of Nablus and Jerusalem while settlers carried out attacks in al-Khalil.
In Nablus IOF stormed Salem town broke into the house of the ex-prisoner Abd al-Rahman Shtayyeh broke one of the doors of his house and tampered with its contents before arresting him and taking him to the Hawara investigation center.
Shtayyeh’s arrest comes as part of a campaign of arrests launched by the IOF in separate areas of the West Bank including leaders and supporters of Hamas and candidates of the “Jerusalem unites us” list.
In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police arrested Tawfiq Najib from Al-Wad neighborhood in the Old City.
The occupation police raided the Obaid neighborhood in al-Issawiya village and arrested Samir Ubaid father of the martyr Muhammad Ubaid and Wassim Ubaid after searching and tampering with the contents of their homes in the neighborhood.
Meanwhile Jewish settlers attacked the homes of citizens in the Tel Rumeida area in the center of al-Khalil.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers threw stones and pepper gas at the house of the family of Rayya Abu Hazaa in Tel Rumeida.
On Friday settlers tried to attack citizens’ homes in Qawwiya Tuwani south of al-Khalil before the villagers confronted them and expelled them from the village.
Furthermore IOF delivered a notice to cease the construction of a house for the Jaber family in the Khallet Al-Eidah area south of al-Khalil.
