IOF arrests several Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a campaign of raids and arrests on Saturday night and at dawn Sunday in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In Bethlehem IOF raided the house of the prisoner Hassan al-Wardyan one of Hamas’s leaders in the Handaza area east of Bethlehem searched it and arrested his son the ex-prisoner Mahmoud al-Wardyan.

Diaa al-Wardyan Hassan’s son reported that IOF stormed the house of his father and the homes of his sons and tampered with their contents.

The leader Wardyan was arrested last week and he already had served more than 20 years in Israeli prisons. He is a leader in the Hamas Movement in Bethlehem and one of its candidates on the “Jerusalem unites us” list.

IOF arrested Fadi Atallah 22 Ibrahim Sabah 23 Hamza Atallah 24 and Bassam Al-Zeer from Harmala village east of Bethlehem after raiding their homes and searching them.

In al-Khalil Muhammad Awad the media activist in Beit Ummar reported that IOF stormed the Abu Touq area and fired tear gas canisters at citizens’ homes. Dozens of Palestinians suffered breathing problems.

In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police broke into the al-Issawiya village northeast of Jerusalem and closed its main entrance.

Eyewitness said that clashes erupted and the occupation police arrested Hassan Darwish 20 Ahmed Darwish and his brother Majed from their homes.

In Ramallah the IOF soldiers arrested Yusef Alyan from Jalazoun refugee camp and Mujahid al-Shani from Ramallah city.

In Jenin IOF raided Qabatiya town south of Jenin and arrested Mahmoud Abu al-Rub Muhammad Dhiab Muhammad Kamil and Muhammad Zakarneh after storming their families’ homes and tampering with their contents.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested on Monday and at dawn Tuesday several Palestinians during raids in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In al-Khalil IOF arrested four citizens after storming their homes searching them and tampering with their contents.

In Jenin the IOF soldiers arrested Muhammad Tahainah from Silat al-Harithiya town and Saleh al-Shamali from Araba town.

IOF also arrested two young men from Silat al-Harithiya town while they were at their workplace in the 1948 occupied lands.

In Ramallah 3 Palestinians were arrested after storming several areas.

In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police arrested two young men from al-Eizariya town and another citizen from Abu Dis after they broke into their homes.

On Monday Montaser Sammour the director of the Palestinian Prisoners Club in Jenin stated that the IOF arrested Muhammad Abbadi while he was passing through the Dotan checkpoint near Ya’bad town southwest of Jenin.

Furthermore Moataz Bisharat the official in the Jordan Valley file in Tubas said that IOF soldiers raided on Monday evening the Bakiya Plain to the southeast of Tubas where they arrested Asim Yunus Bisharat and seized his truck.

IOF arrests several Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem

Four Palestinian young men were injured on Sunday when their car turned turtle due to Israeli soldiers’ chase of their vehicle at high speed in Ramallah.

Local sources said that an Israeli army jeep chased the Palestinian vehicle then rammed into it. The car turned turtle at the entrance to Yabroud village and they were injured.

The casualties were taken to the hospital according to the sources.

In Jenin the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested the released prisoner Mahmoud Bushnaq and raided his brother’s house and tampered with its contents in Rummana town.

In al-Khalil the IOF soldiers arrested Muhammad Halaiqa 19 after storming and searching his family’s home in Al-Shuyoukh town north of al-Khalil.

Meanwhile the Prisoners’ Information Office reported that the Israeli police arrested Alaa Obeid and Suhaib Al-Awar from Occupied Jerusalem.

Jerusalemite sources reported that the occupation police arrested Suhaib Al-Awar after breaking into his house in Wadi Yasoul in Silwan town and took him to the intelligence investigation center in the Holy City.

The Israeli police returned after arresting Awar and confiscated his vehicle according to the sources.

IOF arrests several Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Friday and on Thursday evening several Palestinian citizens in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In Nablus IOF arrested the released prisoner Ali Afif Sawalmeh and Amjad Afif Sawalmeh after raiding and searching their homes in the northern town of Asira north of Nablus.

IOF stormed the house of the ex-prisoner Ismat Shuli searched it tampered with its contents and arrested him for several hours during which he was interrogated.

In Qalqilya the IOF soldiers arrested Shaddad Odwan from Azzun town and confiscated his vehicle while he was near Izbat al-Tabib.

IOF raided al-Khalil and Silwad east of Ramallah without any arrests reported.

In Occupied Jerusalem Al-Tur town witnessed violent confrontations between Palestinian youths and the Israeli soldiers who stormed the town.

Local sources reported that the occupation police arrested Ahmed Abu Jumaa Ibrahim Abu Hatab and Ibrahim Al-Hunaiti from Al-Tur during the clashes on Thursday night.

Violent confrontations also broke out on Thursday in al-Issawiya town in Occupied Jerusalem after the Israeli police stormed and arrested a young man from the town.

Eyewitness said that the occupation police raided al-Issawiya and fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters.

The occupation police arrested Muhammad Obeid after they broke into and searched his home in the town according to the sources.

Al-Issawiya has been suffering for more than a year from a campaign of collective punishment practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) against its inhabitants.

Al-Issawiya is located on the northeastern side of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The total area for the village is 12500 dunums but its area has decreased in favor of settlements and only about 2400 dunums remain for the inhabitants according to Palestinian media reports.

The IOA prevents the townspeople from building demolishes their homes and distributes weekly demolition notices claiming construction without a permit. Furthermore the IOA refuses to issue permits for Palestinians to build houses.
