Large numbers of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided Nablus city in the northern West Bank before noon Friday and arrested two Palestinians.
Local sources said that IOF soldiers stormed the city and besieged a building in Ta’awen Street and arrested the Palestinian citizen Moayed al-Alfi from an apartment there.
Other IOF units raided the new Nablus area later in the day and arrested Emad el-Shamy after searching his house.
Local sources said that both were activists in the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of the Fatah Movement. They added that Alfi was wanted for the IOF for the past 11 years. He was held in the Palestinian military intelligence headquarters in Nablus over the past years and was released only recently.
