The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested two Palestinians as clashes erupted in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil late on Sunday.
One of the detainees was shot and injured before arrest.
Local activist Muhammad Awad affirmed that the clashes broke out in the Asida area of the town after being stormed by the IOF troops amid heavy firing of live and rubber-coated metal bullets and gas and sound bombs.
A large raid and search campaign was carried out during the raid where security cameras installed on local shops were confiscated he added.
Dozens of citizens suffered from teargas inhalation during the clashes.
Similar clashes also erupted in Al-Arroub refugee camp where dozens of local residents also suffered from teargas inhalation.
Meanwhile the IOF stormed Rommana town in Jenin and set up a military checkpoint at its entrance.
Several vehicles were stopped and searched at the checkpoint.
