The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked on Thursday morning Palestinian farmers and fishermen in the besieged Gaza Strip injuring one citizen.

Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire from their border posts at farmers and their fields in the east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

They added that the IOF launched a teargas attack on farmers and their lands in the east of at-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.

Luckily all the farmers escaped unhurt from the targeted areas.

Meanwhile several fishermen and their boats also came under gunfire attack from Israeli gunboats as they were working within a few nautical miles off the coast of Gaza City.

The fishermen syndicate said that one fisherman suffered a rubber bullet injury when Israeli gunboats attacked him and others off the shores of Gaza City.

On Wednesday Israeli gunboats also fired machine guns and tear gas canisters at a number of fishing boats off the shores of Rafah area in southern Gaza.

Under an inhumane siege the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis with no regard for any mediated ceasefire understandings over Gaza or even the international law.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday morning attacked Palestinian farmers and fishermen in the beleaguered Gaza Strip.

A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that Israeli forces opened fire from a military post behind the border fence at a group of farmers as they were working their swaths of land in the east of Rafah (south of Gaza).

The IOF gunfire attack forced the farmers to leave the area and go home.

Meanwhile Israeli gunboats opened machinegun fire at fishing boats during their presence off the shore of Deir al-Balah City in central Gaza.

The naval forces also targeted the fishermen with water cannons in an attempt to swamp their boats. One boat reportedly sustained damage in the attack.

Luckily no one was hurt in the IOF shooting attacks.

A local field observer told Quds Press that four army bulldozers and one excavator infiltrated into a border area inside Gaza particularly on the eastern side of al-Nahda neighborhood in Rafah.

He said that the bulldozers and the excavators embarked on digging and leveling lands in the area while Israeli soldiers fired some tear gas canisters at farmers in the east of al-Qarara town in Khan Yunis (southern Gaza).

The teargas attack forced the farmers to leave their plots of land and stay away from the area.

In the northwest of Gaza Israeli gunboats opened machinegun fire at fishermen and their boats off the shore of Beit Lahia town. Luckily no one was hurt in the gunfire attack.
