Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) banned Palestinian citizens and farmers in Deir Istiya town north of Salfit from performing Friday prayer which has been held for the third consecutive week on agricultural roads closed by IOF.
A farmer of the town said that the prayer ban order was made under the pretext that the area was declared as a closed military zone.
Altercations between IOF troops and the people of the town occurred after soldiers prevented the event and dispersed protesters.
