The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday prevented a group of Palestinian farmers from working on their own swath of land in al-Tabqa area southwest of al-Khalil.
Deir Samet town mayor Shahin al-Rayyan said that Israeli soldiers and settlers stopped local farmers from using drilling equipment on their own land and expelled them from the area.
Rayyan added that the IOF and settlers from the illegal settlement of Negohot bar local residents from reclaiming or using their own lands almost on a daily basis at the pretext that the area is classified as Area C of the West Bank which is under Israeli control.
Meanwhile the IOF blocked the road leading to Shaab al-Batam area in eastern Yatta and photographed nearby homes including a building whose owner already received a demolition ultimatum.
