The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday morning closed the main entrances of the Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie north of al-Khalil city in the West Bank and prevented students and staff from entering through them.
According to local sources the IOF announced their decision to close all main entrances to the university which are located near the Jerusalem-al-Khalil road and prevented anyone from entering the campus.
Later Israeli soldiers attacked students at these entrances and fired stun grenades at them to disperse them.
One female student was reportedly injured and rushed to hospital after soldiers physically assaulted her outside the university compound.
The wanton Israeli measure forced students to use dirt roads through the nearby town of Beit Ummar in order to enter the campus.
