The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday evening closed the western entrance to Ya’bad town and other nearby side roads in the southwest of Jenin.
Ya’bad mayor Samer Abu Baker said that the IOF closed many secondary roads and the vital road that had been built recently by the Ya’bad municipality in the area.
Abu Baker added that the IOF blocked this important road as a mass punitive measure against the local residents whose compatriot Munadil Infiaat was one the six prisoners who carried out the Gilboa jailbreak operation recently.
This road is far from the Israeli barrier of Mevo Dotan settlement and connects the area with the villages of Imreiha and Barta’ah according to the mayor.
