IOF blocks the travel of 20 West Bankers

Saturday 17-June-2017

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) prevented last week the travel of 20 Palestinians via Karama border crossing which links the West Bank with Jordan.

Palestinian security sources affirmed that 20 Palestinians were denied travel via Karama crossing under “security pretexts” without providing clear explanations.

During the reported period 32000 Palestinians managed to travel to and from Jordan.

Karama crossing also known as the King Hussein Bridge and by Israel as Allenby is a crossing that spans the Jordan River and connects the West Bank with Jordan.

The bridge is the sole designated exit and entry point for West Bank Palestinians traveling in and out of the Israeli occupied territories.
