BETHLEHEM (PIC)– IOF bulldozers leveled a Palestinian home in Shawawra town Bethlehem district at an early hour Thursday at the usual pretext of lack of building permit.
Witnesses said that large numbers of IOF soldiers escorted a huge bulldozer and encircled the home of Ahmed Salem amidst indiscriminate firing of live bullets and sonic and gas bombs to scare off civilians and prevent them from approaching the scene.
They added that two hours later the bulldozer started to flatten the house.
The IOF had demolished three civilian buildings including a sheep pen in the Bethlehem district over the past 24 hours. An escalation in demolition of Palestinian homes was noticeable in the district of Bethlehem and in occupied Jerusalem over the past couple of days.
