The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continue for the second day in a row to search for the Palestinian who carried out a stabbing attack and killed an Israeli settler near Ariel settlement in Salfit on Monday before fleeing the scene.
Maariv newspaper claimed on Tuesday that the attacker has been identified as a 19-year-old Palestinian citizen from Jaffa in the 1948 occupied Palestine named Abdulhakim Asi.
The Hebrew newspaper said that the Israeli intelligence service is now working to determine the location of the Palestinian youth and whether he receives help from others.
The IOF on Monday closed the area surrounding Ariel settlement in Salfit after an Israeli settler was stabbed to death near the settlement.
In a video of the attack released by the IOF the Palestinian attacker can be seen getting off a taxi while wearing black clothes and carrying a bag then stabbing the settler.
The settler identified as Itamar Ben-Gal 40 was a resident of Har Bracha settlement illegally built on Palestinian lands south of Nablus.
