Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at dawn Monday conducted a large-scale arrest campaign across the West Bank that included detaining the Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan.
In Nablus governorate IOF soldiers rounded up six Palestinians mostly ex-detainees after storming several neighborhoods in the city and Wadi al-Farea in addition to some nearby towns including Beit Forik Madama and Tel.
In Wadi al-Farea northeast of Nablus the soldiers stormed the house of the Palestinian detainee Yasin Abu al-Qara who was accused of stabbing an Israeli guard on Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said that the Old City in Nablus witnessed clashes between the youth and IOF troops who raided the city in eight patrols and were deployed in different locations in the area.
In Jenin the IOF arrested Khader Adnan Islamic Jihad leader after storming his home and abusing his family in Arraba town south of the city. He immediately announced that he is going to start an open hunger strike and that he will refrain from speaking as well until his release.
In Tulkarem IOF soldiers broke into Deir al-Ghusoun town and arrested an ex-detainee. Meanwhile the soldiers detained Palestinians in Shoufeh town for a while and questioned them in the field after closing the entrances of the town.
