The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out overnight military drills south of Qalqilya city in the West Bank which disturbed residents of nearby Palestinian areas.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that sounds of explosions and shootings were heard throughout the night and lasted until dawn resulting from IOF drills at Eliyahu checkpoint and near the separation wall in the area.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper for its part affirmed that intensive security training started last night at the checkpoint and continued until four o’clock in the morning Thursday.
