Violent clashes broke out last night and continued into the dawn of Monday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Qusra town in southern Nablus to provide protection for extremist Jewish settlers.
According to local sources the clashes happened in the southern area of Qusra town where settlers attacked homes before local residents intervened and confronted them.
Soon later Israeli troops stormed the town and secured the withdrawal of the settlers after attacking local youths with live ammunition and tear gas grenades.
Meanwhile another horde of extremist settlers placed makeshift homes on Mount Subeih in Beita town south of Nablus.
Local residents had managed before to force the IOF to remove a settler outpost on the Mount following confrontations and sit-ins in the area.
