Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Saturday closed Beersheba road that leads to al-Khalil downtown in order to offer protection to settlers during their incursion into a historic site in the area claimed to be the tomb of Atna’el.
A local source stated that IOF soldiers closed the road before the inhabitants and barred them from passing through.
The soldiers also tore Palestinian flags and banners that were hanged on the walls of the street to commemorate the 13th death anniversary of the late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat the source added.
