The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday afternoon closed al-Jalamah crossing in the north of Jenin city in both directions while Palestinian gunmen reportedly opened fire at the crossing.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers shut the barriers of the crossing and prevented Palestinian vehicles from moving in both directions.
The Israeli measure caused a heavy build-up of traffic on both sides of the road.
Meanwhile Israeli troops aboard patrol vehicles stormed and combed areas around the crossing and all the way to the nearby suburb of Sabah al-Khair and the Nasira street in Jenin.
The same sources reported hearing gunshots at the crossing expressing their belief that they were fired by gunmen.
