Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Friday closed the iron gate at the main entrance to Bani Na’im town east of the West Bank city of al-Khalil.
Local sources said the IOF soldiers stationed at the entrance prevented Palestinian citizens from entering or leaving forcing them to take alternative bumpy roads to move.
Bani Na’im is targeted by Israeli harassment closures and other collective punishment policies that serve settlement schemes on a regular basis.
A few months ago Israeli occupation authorities have ordered the confiscation of about 4800 dunums of privately-owned land in the town in favor of the expansion of a nearby settlement.
