Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed by stones and sand berms on Monday the entrance to Housan Betteir Nahhalein and Jabaa towns west of Bethlehem. The entrance serves around 30000 citizens.
The PIC reporter revealed that the closure of the entrance followed a threat made by the IOF region officer to close it in order to stop throwing of stones and Molotov cocktail at settlers’ cars on the bypass road leading to Beitar Illit settlement.
Clashes were also reported on Monday in Tqoa town east of Bethlehem. Israeli forces unleashed rubber bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinian youths who responded by stone throwing. No injuries were reported.
