The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday evening closed the Huwara checkpoint in southern Nablus north of the West Bank with no known reason.
Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint shut it down and barred all Palestinian vehicles from using the road in both directions.
They added that the closure caused heavy traffic jams on the road prompting dozens of cars to wait and many others to use alternative routes.
