The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have continued for the 15th consecutive day to block the main entrance to Azzun town in the east of Qalqilya.
Five days ago the IOF deployed concrete blocks at the main entrance to Azzun and prevented local resident from using the road to enter or leave their town.
Such measure forced the residents to use rough and dirt bypasses to go to other Palestinian areas in the West Bank.
Azzun mayor Riyadh Hannoun said the repeated IOF raids arrest campaigns and road closures in the town are part of a systematic plan to tighten the noose around the local residents and pave the way for more settlement activities in the area.
Hannoun appealed to international human rights organizations to necessarily intervene to curb Israel’s repressive practices against Azzun residents.
