The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Tuesday afternoon Khirbet Ibziq village in the Jordan Valley and carried out a large-scale demolition campaign.
Local sources affirmed that the IOF declared the area a closed military zone blocking Palestinian movement in both directions.
Approximately 40 Palestinian-owned facilities were demolished during the campaign the sources added.
The Jordan Valley which is a fertile strip of land running west of the Jordan River is home to about 65000 Palestinians and makes up approximately 30% of the West Bank area.
Since 1967 Israel has transferred thousands of Jewish settlers to the Jordan Valley and designated about 46 percent of the area as a closed military zone to forcefully displace Palestinian families living there as part of the Israeli ethnic cleansing policy.
