Monday 22-February-2021

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Monday Khirbet Homsa al-Fawqa in the northern Jordan Valley imposed a siege on it and declared it a closed military zone.

Aref Daraghmeh a human rights activist said that the IOF bulldozers demolished citizens’ homes in Khirbet Homsa for the seventh time in a row after imposing a siege on the hamlet and closing the roads leading to it.

Daraghmeh pointed out that on Sunday the IOF soldiers took photos of the tents that were recently established with the support of international institutions to house the residents after demolishing their tents several times.

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) seeks to impose its control over Khirbet Homsa al-Fawqa and has ordered its evacuation for 11 times during the last four years under the pretext of conducting military training.

The IOA converted more than 400000 dunums of land in the Jordan Valley into closed military zones and established 97 military sites there.
