The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday set up several swing barriers on roads at the entrances to Palestinian towns and villages in the west of Ramallah city in the West Bank.
Local sources said that the IOF deployed the road barriers at the entrances to Ras Karkar village Kharbatha Bani Harith town and Shuqba town.
The sources affirmed that the barriers are aimed at imposing movement restrictions on the local residents and isolating many towns and villages from Ramallah city.
The new Israeli roadblocks would lead to the isolation of more than 15000 people living in al-Janiya village Ras Karkar Kharbatha Bani Harith and Shuqba from Ramallah and would deprive them of easily reaching workplaces schools universities and hospitals.
