The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday morning detained a Palestinian young man in the north of al-Khalil on allegations of his attempt to carry out a stabbing attack.
The Israeli border police claimed that one of its officers was attacked at the junction of Beit Einun village (HaOkfim Junction) near al-Khalil.
However Israeli news reports said that the young man was only found in possession of a knife.
The Jerusalem Post said that the young man was neutralized and taken into custody.
