The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday detained a Palestinian farmer and his wife for several hours in their farmland in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil.
Activist Mohammed Awad told Wafa news agency that the IOF detained Ali Awad 54 and his wife Amina Awad 47 while they were working in their land which is located in Khillat al-Katla area adjacent to Karmei Tzur settlement.
The IOF soldiers ordered Ali Awad to leave his land and obtain a permit to work there but when he refused they threatened to arrest him and his wife. The couple were released after hours of detention.
