IOF displaces prisoner’s family razes its home in Rujeib town

Monday 2-November-2020

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday displaced a Palestinian family after demolishing the house of Palestinian prisoner Khalil Duweikat in Rujeib town south of Nablus.

Rujeib mayor said the IOF cordoned off the area where the house was located and demolished it in its entirety adding that it was composed of two floors.

The measure rendered the family of Duweikat homeless in the cold and rain but their neighbors hastened to help them and accommodate them.

Meanwhile violent clashes broke out in the town after local residents tried to prevent the IOF from demolishing the house.

Three young men were reportedly injured by IOF gunfire during the events in the town.

The Israeli occupation authority has accused Khalil Duweikat of carrying out a stabbing attack and killing a rabbi in Petah Tikva city in central Israel last August.
