The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) evacuated on Sunday afternoon a horde of Jewish settlers from al-Ja’bari family’s apartment building near the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City after Palestinian citizens scuffled with the settlers.
Local sources said that Israeli soldiers had to evacuate the settlers from the building after they clashed with Palestinians from al-Ja’bari family especially since there was already a court verdict preventing the settlers from taking over the property until a final ruling on the case was issued.
The sources added that the IOF arrested one Palestinian citizen from the family during the brawls with the settlers.
The building consists of three floors and its apartments are furnished but uninhabited. It is owned by Walid al-Jabari a resident of Occupied Jerusalem.
The settlers who invaded the building and attached Israeli flags to its windows claimed they bought it officially from the owner.
Al-Ja’bari’s building is about 150 meters away from another Palestinian building that was seized by settlers in 2006.
