Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday expelled an international parliamentary delegation from the Old City of al-Khalil and prevented them from carrying on with their visit to the city’s neighborhoods and streets.
Head of Action Group for Peace and International Justice Issa Amr said that 11 Chilean parliamentarians were conducting a visit to the Old City and the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil when they were stopped by IOF soldiers.
Amr added that the IOF soldiers surrounded the delegation as they approached Tal Rumeida neighborhood and prevented them from entering the area on the grounds that it is a “closed military zone”.
