IOF incursion in Nablus continues wreaking havoc for 2nd day

NABLUS (PIC)– IOF troops rounded up scores of Palestinians in the West Bank city of Nablus in the second day Monday of those soldiers’ incursion in the city that paralyzed commercial educational and ordinary life activity.

Local sources reported that the IOF soldiers continued their break-and-search operations of civilian homes focusing on the Old City that has been totally isolated from the rest of the areas in Nablus amidst reports that food and other basic supplies had started to run out of stock.

Government and private institutions in addition to schools and universities were closed for the second day due to the IOF campaign.

The sources said that the IOF kidnapped Sheikh Nabegh Breik 43 the chairman of the local TV station Sanabel that is located inside the Old City and confiscated its transmission equipment.

Large numbers of IOF soldiers in around 100 army vehicles and bulldozers invaded the city pre dawn Sunday with the declared aim of arresting “wanted activists”.

The soldiers distributed leaflets warning the inhabitants of cooperating with “terrorists” and named seven wanted Palestinians claiming that they were the main target of the operation in addition to destroying what they called “an explosives factory”. So far 40 Palestinians were rounded up.

In other West Bank areas the IOF troops arrested 16 Palestinians at dawn Monday the Hebrew radio quoted an IOF spokesman as saying adding that they were rounded up in Ramallah Jenin and Qalqilia.

Meanwhile an Israeli settler was found stabbed to death in an area near Beit Ummar village Al-Khalil district.

A Palestinian source said that the settler was apparently lured into the area by unknown persons who later killed him.

IOF units are combing all areas north of Al-Khalil in search of the attackers.

In the Gaza Strip the AMB armed wing of the Fatah faction took the credit for firing two “Buraq” missiles Sunday night at Sderot settlement adjacent to the Strip in retaliation to the unceasing IOF aggressions on the Palestinian people especially in the ongoing Nablus incursion.
